    R2R Glory

I own a Wadia 581 iSE, a piece of equipment that used to be in a much higher price range. I'm using the Phantom with a DDC Gaia 12TH bridge connected via AES. After 300 hours of use, I can say that the blackness, dynamics, and tonal density are better with the Phantom. The detail doesn't seem to be greater, but it is much more natural. This is certainly something unthinkable at this price point. Oh, and I forgot to mention, the individuality of the instruments is also better.

    Great DAC

I listen exclusively to headphones (Heddphone One, Meze 109 Pro, Etymotic ER4XR/ER3XR) via the Topping A90D. The Phantom DAC is a huge step up from my previous DACs (Chord Mojo, Topping D90D,Fiio br15, Questylecma400i). Compared to the D90D, the Phantom sounds way more realistic, fuller, and deeper with a wider soundstage. The D90 felt artificial and less engaging despite sometimes showing more detail. With the Phantom, everything sounds just right. No more need for EQ. A truly great buy!"
